When applying for residency application, it's essential to provide accurate and up-to-date information that matches your official documents such as your passport or ID card. Here’s a detailed guide on how to enter your basic information correctly in the SpeedVisa system:

Accessing Basic Information:

• Navigation: Tap on the "Basic Information" section from the main menu to begin entering your details.
• Completion Indicator: Ensure each field is filled correctly to receive a green tick, indicating completeness.

 

Required Fields and Instructions:

• Name: Enter your name exactly as it appears on your passport, using Alphabetical characters.
• Date of Birth: Tap the input area to bring up a selection tool for year, month, and day. Scroll to select the correct date.
• Nationality: Tap the input area and choose your nationality from the list of candidate countries.
• Gender: Select the gender as indicated on your passport.
• Marital Status: Indicate marital status by selecting "Yes" if married or "No" if not.
• Faculty/Course Name: Select your Faculty or Course
• Occupation: Describe your current occupation. Examples include Student, Preparing to study abroad, or Company employee.
• Photograph for Official Documents:
  • Quality and Format: Upload a recent photograph (taken within the last 3 months) in image format (PNG, JPG, JPEG).
  • Photo Requirements: Ensure the photo has no background objects, no sunglasses, and no hats. The subject should be facing forward.
  • Religious or Medical Attire: If special attire is required for religious or medical reasons, consult with school staff for approval.
• Passport Information:
  • Possession: If you have a passport, select "Yes" and provide your passport number and its expiration date. If not, select "No."
• Career Paths After Graduation: Choose the option that best describes your planned career path after graduation.

• ・Residence Card Information (For Period Extension Applications Only):
  Please enter your Residence Card Number, Expiration Date, Period of Stay, Desired Period of Stay, and Reason for Extension.

  Note:
  ・For the Desired Period of Stay, enter the period until your graduation at your current school. If you have been accepted to another school, enter the period until your graduation at the new school.
  ・Example of Reason for Extension: "To continue studies at ○○ School."

• Your Contact Information: Enter your Phone Number including the country code for phone numbers.
• Emergency Contact: Provide details of someone who can be contacted in emergencies, including their relationship to you.
• Current Address (For Period Extension Applications Only): Enter your current address in Japan as on the back side of your Residence Card.
